Recommend Someone

Fr Reginald with Students

From the beginning, the call to follow Christ has passed from one person to another. Andrew brought his brother Peter to Jesus. Philip said to Nathanael, “Come and see.” The Samaritan woman ran to her village and invited others to encounter the Lord. Throughout the history of the Church, this same pattern continues: St. Monica guiding Augustine, St. Bernard drawing his companions into monastic life, and countless others who recognized a call in someone they knew and loved.

A vocation is never abstract, it is personal. Often, it begins when someone calls another by name and says, in one way or another: “Come and see.”

If you know of a single Catholic man between the ages of 18 and 50, who you think might have the qualities and calling to the monastic life at Subiaco, then we would encourage you to use the form below. Jesus may be calling a man to the monastic way of life THROUGH YOU. Those you recommend will receive a gentle email from our Abbot encouraging them to consider the monastic way of life.
