Abbot Elijah and the monastic community of Subiaco Abbey announced the death of Brother Edward Fischesser, OSB. Brother Edward died peacefully on December 17, 2025. At the time of his death, Brother Edward was 78 years old. He had been a professed monk for 56 years. A Vigil Wake Service was be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2025, and a Conventual Mass of Christian Burial with Internment was be held on Monday, December 22, at 10:00 AM.
